“I don’t train shots — I train players. And above all, people who understand the why behind every decision on the court, and in padel.”

My journey in padel
It all started in 1999, with my first match. What began as a hobby became a passion and, over the years, my way of life. I’ve spent more than 25 years on the court and still have the same drive as on day one.
In 2006 I earned my National Coach qualification from the Spanish Padel Federation. Alongside that, I studied Law and specialized as a lawyer — with a Master’s in Tax Advisory and a Master’s for Bar Admission — practicing for several years. But the court always pulled harder: I never stopped coaching, not for a single day.
Along the way I ran academies and projects at leading clubs such as Club Español de Tenis and Club de Tenis Valencia, and led the competition team at the University of Valencia from 2007 to 2019. That stage shaped me: it’s where I truly learned how to develop a player, from scratch through to top-level competition.
In 2017 I took the leap into coaching professional players, and in 2019 I founded Bellmont Padel Academy, which I ran until 2025. Through it, I supported players at key moments in their careers: Javier Rico, José Rico, Bárbara Las Heras, Ernesto Moreno, Salvador Oria, and Arantxa Soriano, among others.
Ese recorrido me abrió las puertas del pádel internacional. He sido seleccionador nacional de Qatar (2021) y de Arabia Saudí (2024-2025).
“There comes a moment when what excites you most is giving back to padel part of everything it’s given you. For me, that means training those who come after.”

My current role at FIP
After years dedicated to players, national teams and high-performance projects, I’ve opened a new chapter with a clear goal: helping padel grow around the world, both on and off the court.
Today I’m part of the International Padel Federation (FIP) on two fronts. On the sporting side, I’m FIP’s delegate for the Hexagon World Series, an international project reinventing how padel is played and experienced. And on the training side, I support the development of the FIP Academy Coaching Program, the platform training the next generation of coaches worldwide.
I’m also a member of the FIP Academy Expert Committee. Together with leading figures such as Rodrigo Ovide, Ramiro Choya, Ángel González, Javier Pozanco, Marcela Ferrari, Maxi Grabiel, Álex Ruiz (nutrition), and Ariel Sarabia (physical training), we design FIP’s official coach-training content.
And also, from the microphone.
I’ve also experienced padel from the other side: as a commentator for the World Padel Tour (2021), Premier Padel (2022), and the PPL Finals (2025).
